Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest

Team Rampage finally won last week so they have control of the fight this week. Quinton is shown in a much better mood- says he feels like a “rock star.” Rampage picks Gerald Harris against Amir Sadollah. Gerald Harris is shown. Says he feels that he is well rounded but his strength is wrestling and he likes to slam people. Quinton says that Gerald is a mini version of him. Team Forrest is shown training, Forrest questions Amir’s confidence. Forrest tells Amir that if he wins the fight that he will shave half of his head.

Gerald Harris vs. Amir Sadollah

R1- Gerald rushes in quickly and takes down Amir. He has Amir up against the cage with Amir in the guard position. Amir doing a good job defending. Gerald moves to half guard and starts to get in some offense but then Amir gets to his feet. Gerald picks up Amir and nails him with a huge power slam. Amir sprawls back to his feet though. Gerald picks up Amir and slams him again with a spine buster looking move. Harris moves from half guard to guard and Amir sprawls forward and then explodes and barely misses a knee. Amir is now in a dominate position as he is on Gerald’s back. This round definitely went to Gerald as he controlled the fight and nailed two big slams but he has been unable to finish Amir and Amir, while very inexperienced, has shown flashes of being close to catching Harris and has good instincts and defense.

R2- Amir has some blood around one of his eyes. Amir hits some leg kicks to start off with. Gerald goes in and attempts a takedown but Amir denies him. Gerald perseveres and gets the takedown and he has Amir up against the cage. Amir gets to his feet. Harris looks like he’s going for a slam but instead eats a knee. Harris tries for another takedown but is denied and Amir rolls through and gets Gerald’s back. They are both on their feet now and Gerald hits a couple of punches and takes Amir down and is in his guard. They stand up and Amir hits another big knee and he’s punching Harris and this one is stopped by the ref.

Amir showed a lot of heart in this one as Gerald just couldn’t finish and Amir made him pay. Amir is very inexperienced but shows good instincts and defense and that saved him in this fight. I think this was probably the best fight so far of the first two rounds.

Winner: Amir Sadollah via TKO (ref stoppage- punches) R2

Post-Match they show Gerald Harris with a mental breakdown in the dressing room. Rampage consoles him.

So now we are down to 4 guys that have not fought in the second round yet including the guy that I think is going to be the favorite in CB Dollaway. I’ve also got Nick Klein left and have him ranked highly so it will be interesting to see how he does.

Forrest picks Cale Yarborough to fight Patrick Schultz. This leaves Dollaway versus Klein for the final fight of Round 2, which I think will be real solid. Forrest talks about Cale not being strong on the ground but says that Schultz also likes the stand-up game. Cale talks about how he likes to stay on his feet and is looking for the knockout. Tim Credeur says that he thinks this one is going to be a swing for the fences barn burner. Patrick Schultz says his strength is Muy Thai, says he’s looking to go out their and swing and have a good fight. Rampage says Schultz is under the radar since he’s the guy that actually lost in Round One but was brought back by Team Rampage.

Cale Yarbrough vs. Patrick Schultz

R1- Schultz shoves Cale down early but cannot follow up on the advantage. I’m glad that Schultz took his goofy hat off for this fight. Both guys swinging and neither guy showing any defense. Schultz lands a good punch and Cale goes down but Schultz doesn’t pounce and allows Cale to get back up. Not much defense at all in this fight. They are swinging pretty wildly. Cale landing some kicks but is leaving himself wide open whenever he does in for a strike. Cale bull rushes Schultz and takes him down and lands in his guard. Cale hitting a couple of strikes but nothing strong. Cale lets him up even though he was clearly dominating while on the top. Cale takes him down again. Schultz controlled early but Cale dominated the second half of the round and was clearly in control during the two take downs.

R2- Cale hits a good knee about 30 seconds into the round and follows it up with another take down. Cale moves to half guard and is hitting some nice elbows. Cale has now moved Schultz up against the cage and is dominating this round and ends up dominating.

Cale definitely takes this one and looked much better in this fight. Yarbrough wins by decision- good decision IMO.

Winner: Cal Yarbrough via Decision (Majority)

Rampage is pissed and says that he bets his purse that his fight with Forrest won’t go to a decision. Next week should be fun with Dollaway versus Klein and the Forrest/Rampage rivalry heating up.
